Riding Therapy
At the unit in Rancharia, the Bartira Farms house a Riding Therapy Center that assists the treatment of children holding specific physical disabilities. Recognized by the Federal Council of Medicine, the Riding Therapy uses horses to work on the health and physical development of the children. The project is developed in partnership with the local governments of Rancharia and Narandiba and is now being expanded to the company's units in the state of Minas Gerais, in the municipalities of Delfin Moreira and Canápolis.
Pineapple
The Pineapple Project benefits the families by providing land to them, under the subsidized leasing regimen. The families of rural workers became fruit grower entrepreneurs, injecting to the local economy more than one million reais a year. The project occupies a 450ha area in the property at Pirapitinga, municipality of Canápolis, in the state of Minas Gerais, benefiting 72 families. It is developed in partnership with the local government of Canápolis, Embrapa and the Banco do Brasil.
Black Lion Tamarin
Aiming at preserving the species, the Black Lion Tamarin Project is developed in partnership with the Institute of Ecological Research (IPE), at the Mosquito unit, in the town of Narandiba (state of Sao Paulo). In the Atlantic Jungle reserve at the Pontal do Paranapanema region, the biodiversity corridors are being reforested to interconnect the fragments inhabited by the population.
